Choose Silver or Black finish The Point Pod Connect PPCV815 is a kitchen countertop approved pop up outlet that conceals your power and USB connectors by utilizing a piece of your countertop as the top. What makes this kitchen power pop up outlet so unique, is that it gives you the ability to keep the clean aesthetic look of your stone or wood countertop by creating a flush counter installation. It offers a discreet and functional solution and a seamless aesthetic design that allows the use of the same material as your counter to be fitted on the top of the Point Pod. Reliable Motorized Lifting with No Buttons What sets this model apart from the competition is that it is motorized! Simply press the top when you need access to your two outlets or three USB charging ports, and the top of the unit smoothly and quietly rises up. Press the top again and the unit retracts down back flush to your countertop. There are no buttons! Softly touch the fitted stone cap and the unit will smoothly retract back into your countertop. Designed with safety in mind, the Point Pod Connect features a programmed sensor that allows the unit to sense resistance (fingers or a hand for example), that might be in the way, and will stop the unit from lowering and immediately rise back up. There are two 15A power plugs, two 3A USB-C ports, and one 2.4A USB-A port. The USB charging ports have a max total amperage of 6A when multiple USB devices are plugged in. Installs in Any Direction Realizing the limitations of a standard drop down pop up outlet - the Point Pod Connect has been designed to be installed in any direction! This means if your below counter space is too tight or you do not want to give up under cabinet space, you can now install these units upside down or sideways. Allowing for a "Pop Down" electrical outlet, or a "Pop Out" by installing the unit horizontally. Custom Round Insert Installs Flush to the Countertop The Point Pod is the only round model where you put the stone cut-out back in the top for a seamless fit. By using a piece of the same countertop material as the top, you can create a matching and camouflaged pop up in your countertop. The fabricator will need to cut out a 4" outside diameter hole size, while the inner disc that will install in the cup needs to be 3 11/16". This disc can have a thickness between 1" and 1.25". This is typically done with a hole saw or a water jet. That disc that is cut is then installed in the cup, the cup ring is only .05" thick and barely noticeable. Approved for Countertop Installations The Point Pod Connect is ETL listed and approved for USA installations into countertops, as well as CSA approved for countertop installations in Canada. The ETL listing is approved for UL listing 962A, and CSA is approved for C22.2 No. 308. The unit is IP44 rated for water ingress protection, it also has water diversion built in so any spills will be diverted away from the unit. The outlet is rated for 15 Amps and also has tamper-resistant plugs, making the receptacles tamper-proof for children.
