This text highlights the growing importance of teaching programming in basic education, evidenced both by international initiatives and by academic research that analyzes effective teaching methods. In the UK, making programming compulsory in the school curriculum demonstrates an effort to align education with contemporary technical demands. The use of tools such as platforms and programming languages to integrate computational thinking and digital literacy are excellent pedagogical tools and extremely effective in basic education. These efforts highlight the need to develop programming skills in students, preparing them for future challenges. In line with the BNCC guidelines, the use of resources such as Python and the LEGO(R) SPIKETM PRIME KIT has proved to be effective in making learning more interactive and motivating for students in the first year of the new high school, as evidenced by the experiments applied in this work.
