The Pentair Pentek C1 cartridge delivers dual-purpose water filtration by combining powdered activated carbon with cellulose media in a single 9.75" x 2.88" cartridge. This design captures fine sediment particles down to 5 microns while simultaneously reducing chlorine taste and odor, eliminating the need for separate filtration stages in your residential system.Engineered for standard 10" x 2.5" filter housings, the C1 provides over 5,000 gallons of chlorine reduction capacity at 1 gpm, making it one of the most economical options for municipal water supplies. The external polyethylene netting reinforces the cartridge structure and increases dirt-holding capacity, while vinyl plastisol endcaps ensure a secure seal. Operating temperature range is 40-125°F with a low 4 psi pressure drop at 5 gpm.Replace the cartridge every 6 months or sooner if you notice reduced water flow or a return of chlorine taste. For use with chlorinated municipal water supplies. Materials are certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42.
