PENN-PLAX presents the Silent-Air Aquarium Air Pump with Battery Backup. This model of the Silent-Air Aquarium Air Pump is a real life saver! The SAB11 Air Pump plugs into an electrical outlet, and monitors power at your home or office. If power becomes interrupted, for any reason, the air pump instantly turns on, thus keeping your tank’s water safely oxygenated for your fish. In other words, bubbles go on when power goes off! Please note that the air pump will only operate when there is no A.C. electricity, and utilizes “D” sized batteries. Safe for both freshwater and saltwater setups. This Air Pump is suitable for aquariums up to 29 gallons. Any larger aquariums should use 2 or more units. Depending on the batteries used, the SAB11 can provide your fish with an uninterrupted supply of oxygen for 72 hours or more. Quite Portable and Very Handy: The SAB11 Air Pump also serves as a great option for transporting fish, be it from inside the car to your home, or from one tank to another. There’s no need to worry whenever or not your pet will get the oxygen they need! Please Read Directions: After placing 2 D batteries (not included) inside the SAB11 Air Pump, and making all the necessary connections, press the “ON” button on the side, which allows the air pump to automatically activate in the event of power failure. Please test periodically by unplugging from the wall outlet. Included Items: This model of the Silent-Air Aquarium Air Pump comes with the following: Air Pump, Flexible Air Tubing (standard size), Air Stone, and a Metal Mounting Clip – Batteries Not Included.
