The CHERRY KC 1000 SC is an exceptionally secure wired keyboard with an integrated Class 2 chip card reader. The new smart keyboard offers maximum security in the workplace, and the integrated smart card terminal meets the necessary requirements for electronic signatures, authentication, data encryption, and access authorization.The keyboard itself is equipped with useful features that promise an optimal user experience: 109 keys, including four hotkeys for "Calculator," "E-mail," "Browser," and "Sleep Mode." Thanks to CHERRY's high-quality standards, the keycaps are incredibly resistant to abrasion and can, therefore, withstand years of use in the office without showing signs of wear.The class 2 card reader of the KC 1000 SC is deeply recessed in the housing and can be easily operated with just one hand. The Class 2 card reader supports the PC/SC standard, is EMV 2000 Level 1 compliant, CCID compatible, enables reading and writing of ISO 7816 standardized smart cards, and supports the following protocols: T=0, T=1, S=8, S=9, S=10. The keyboard also meets all requirements of the Trade Agreement Act (TAA). Secure, numeric PIN entry is made easy via the numeric keypad. The reader's mechanical contacts are designed for a service life of more than 100,000 actuations. The keypad housing is sealed to protect the device against manipulation.The CHERRY KC 1000 SC is suitable for applications in the fields of digital signature, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), logon, authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO), data encryption, banking, and e-commerce, making it an ideal solution for the increased security requirements in government, authorities, industry, and critical infrastructures.
