The TruVativ Descendant Carbon Eagle DUB Crankset, sees a bit of a facelift this season, with parent company SRAM bestowing it with newfangled DUB technology. DUB technology features a newly-engineered bottom bracket and an optimized spindle design. This allows for superior fitment and better sealing against contamination and is the intersection of where stiffness meets durability, with no compromises. By better integrating the relationship between the chainring, crank, spindle, and bottom bracket you'll get a better performing and longer lasting drivetrain. You'll have to use a new DUB bottom bracket with this crank but the good news is it's backward compatible with existing frame designs. This means more time on the trails and less time troubleshooting creaks and worn out components. The Descendant Carbon is the same quality construction and wallet-friendly price point we've come to expect from TruVativ that's light enough for XC yet burly enough for enduro.Carbon fiber arms transfer the power from your legs into the aluminum direct mount chainrings creating a lightweight crankset that is ready to go out of the box with a single-ring setup. The X-SYNC chainring maximizes chain control, with each tooth CNC-machined to support the chain's inner- and outer-links. This machining process provides a variable thickness from tooth-to-tooth, so the chain is essentially locked onto the chainring preventing it from jumping off over rough terrain.Direct mount chainrings also allow for quick swaps to different size rings if you have a big mountain enduro one weekend and an all-day backcountry epic the next.
