- Untangler 5" Kitty Kat Comb is custom designed for Kitties and Cats. Comb has 43 narrow-spaced, silky smooth rotating stainless-steel teeth that continuously rotate. Rotating pins greatly reduce the pulling force on cat hair and skin significantly reducing discomfort for cats. Typically cats groom themselves but sometimes they need assistance when hair is severly tangled and snarled. Kitties and Cats have tender skin. Detangling matted hair with a rotating tooth comb is highly recommended before brushing the coat. Note: to detangle tight mats, hold the mat at the base of the mat and clear the mat woking from tip to your finger tips. Rotating teeth facilitate mat clearing, preventing pulling and snagging while you detangle. Untangler recommends brushing through the coat with a pin brush after combing. Check out the Untangler T906PRO Brush with rotating teeth or T906smPET Brush. Daily combing and brushing reduces mat formations. Gently and effective for Dematts cat hair: The 5" cat comb has 43 narrow spaced rotating teeth designed to clear mats. Pins rotate and glide to reduce pulling when dematting. After dematting, comb through the coat until smooth, the Brush through the coat to remove loose hair. Recommended: Untangler T906smPET Brush is a superior shedding brush for cats and small dog breeds. Best use: start detangling from hair tips moving toward the skin clearing all knots as you comb. For large knots, hold the knot at the base and detangle it working toward your fingers. Be patient, rotating pins reducing the pulling force and friction, preventing pain to cats. For impossible mats, use a detangling spray to loosen the mat. Another suggestion is to rub a small amount of cornstarch on the mat to soften it. If the mat cannot be untangled, seek advice. NOTE: many groomers recommend detangling with a rotating pin comb and detangling spray before brushing the coat to reduce pain. Stimulates Natural Oil production: Smooth pin tips rub the skin increasing circulation and natural oil production. Combing distributes natural oils throughout the coat keeping skin healthy and giving the coat a natural sheen. Rounded smooth pin tips provide a relaxing sensation and is calming to most felines. Anti-Static: Solid stainless steel pins repel static, preventing static build-up during grooming. Combs are especially effective in dry and low humidity climates. Non-Tarnish: Solid stainless- steel pins will not tarnish and can be safely disinfected in salon solutions or easily cleaned with mild soap and warm water.
