Tips for taking the tests - Since the tests are timed, you should not spend too much time on any one question. Just focus on what you can do. - Do not make random guesses. On the SSAT, you lose ¼ point for each incorrect answer! - You are NOT allowed to use a calculator on the SSAT math. - Ensure that you read the instructions carefully, e.g. sometimes the questions are long winded and you may need to read carefully to identify what the question is asking for. - After the test, make sure that you go through ALL the questions, even the ones that you answer correctly, and ensure that you understand the concepts tested.
