Lawson's most famous works include his short stories "The Drover's Wife" and "The Loaded Dog," as well as his poetry collections "In the Days When the World Was Wide" and "Verses Popular and Humorous." Throughout his career, Lawson was a vocal advocate for the rights of the working class and the importance of literature in Australian culture. His works have been adapted into film, television, and theatre productions, and remain influential to this day. Lawson remains one of the country's most beloved writers.
