LaBear #10 pre-drilling countersink drill bits with low friction depth stops and the HSS drill is the best choice for Woodworking. You can adjust the drill to change the depth of the pilot hole, and you can adjust the rotating depth stop to change the depth of the countersink hole. A deeper recess is used when you want to use plugs, or you can set the depth of the recess to leave your screw flush with the surface. The depth stop has a free-spinning nylon low-friction collar which can prevent burning or mark of the wood surface. The collar has large openings on its side to help with the removal of chips, ensuring they do not clog.
