- Python: One Day at a Time This is the book I always wanted when I was learning to code. In software development, if you can't find what you're looking for, you build (or in this case write) it yourself. Whenever I am considering what to spend my discretionary time on, I always consider three things. It this fun, useful, profound. My hope is that this format will resonate with you as well on one or more of these criteria. Learning a programing language should be fun. That is the guiding principle of this book. The ability to write code is amazingly empowering. It’s a skill and a mindset that has benefits for well beyond the realm of computing. Whether you’re coming from a background in other languages or Python is the first language you’re learning (great choice!), this book is an attempt to give you a solid foundation in the least tedious way. The book, as the title suggests, is broken down into single-day chunks. Most of the chapters (days) are structured like this:Warm-up: An inspirational quote and a background story about the day’s focusTheory: Introduce the day's concepts with simple explanations and analogies.Examples: Code examples illustrating the day's concepts.Hands-On Exercises: Exercises that gradually increase in difficulty, using real-world problems when possibleMini-Project: Short projects that integrate concepts covered up to that point.Quizzes: Short quizzes at the end of each chapter to reinforce learning.Further Reading: Resources for deeper exploration of the day's topics. For most of the exercises, there are examples of how to solve them later in the chapter.
