- HlWlN-QE series quideway can be classified into non-interchangeable and interchangeable types. The sizes are identical. The main difference is that the interchangeable blocks and rails can be freely exchanged. Because of dimensional control, the interchangeable type linear guideway is a perfect choice for the client when rails do not need to be paired for an axis. And since the QE and EG share the identical ralls, the customer does not need to redesign when choosing the QE series. Therefore the HlWlN-QE linear quideway has increased applicability
- The accuracy of the QE series can be classified into 5 classes: normal C, high H, precision P, super precision SP,and ultra precision UP. Choose the class by referencing the accuracy of selected equipment
- A preload can be applied to each guideway.Generally.a linear motion guideway has a negative clearance between the groove and balls in order to improve stiffness and maintain high precision. The figure shows that adding a preload can improve stiffness of the linear guideway
- End seal and bottom seal:To prevent life reduction caused by iron chips or dust entering the block

QE Series-Quiet Linear Guideway, with SynchMotion Technology.The development of HlWlN-QE linear guideway is based on a four-row circular-arc contact. The HlWIN-QE series linear guideway with SynchMotion Technology offers smooth movement, superior lubrication, quieter operation and longer running life. Therefore the HlWIN-QE linear guideway has broad industrial applicability. In the high-tech industry where high speed, low noise, and reduced dust generation is required, the HlWIN-QE series isinterchangeable with the HlWlN-EG series. Proper Installation of Linear Guides In this section, we’ll explain in detail how to install THK linear guide in linear type applications. Step 1: Before mounting the linear guides, a highly recommended advice is to clean up all rough edges and contaminate objects. Important: Datum lines of linear guides are normally composed of antirust. So, brush the antirust with a cleanser before positioning. Spraying some low coherence grease can preserve the datum plane. Step 2: Place the linear guide on the base and secure it with the drive screw or other appliances, so it sits properly on the datum line nicely. Important: Don’t forget to examine the adjustment of the screw holes before tightening them. Tightening the screw forcefully can unalign the screw holes, which influences the accuracy and quality due to offset. Step 3: Sequentially fasten the bolts to make the rail more steady. Push the track against the datum line gently to improve the connection between them. Step 4: Through a torque wrench, tighten the bolts from the centre to both edges. Step 5: Repeat similar strides for installing the auxiliary rail and then install the slides on the rail independently. Don’t forget to gather all adornments, like lubricant fitting, grease fitting and seals in this stage. Otherwise, later on, it gets hard to gather the adornments because of less space. Step 6: Locate the table smoothly on the slides on both main and subsidiary rails. Step 7: Tighten the perpendicular thrust screw to settle the table and attach the table screws in the sequence.
