Sobre este producto
  • This is textbook written for introductory mechanical engineering university students focused on 3D CAD using CREO Parametric 10 software. Instead of lengthy explanations of how the CAD features operate, students will instead apply features and tools to build realistic product models while gaining deeper knowledge through repetition on later lessons. Eventually students will be at an "intermediate" level of CAD skill; knowing what features are available, how to use them, and how to troubleshoot their own models. Part modeling, Assembly Modeling, and Detail drawings are covered with step-by-step instructions with corresponding software images showing where to click and which options to setup to complete the modeling steps. Students will be able to work on their own designs, work for a company at an internship or early career design job, and be capable of producing models and detail drawings suitable for prototyping or manufacturing. At this skill level students will not be exposed to complex equation driven modeling, simulations, mechanisms, or detailed geometric tolerance drawings. Users will need access to the University edition of the CREO Parametric software (free for university and K-12 students from PTC), with some CAD files that must be obtained from the author.
