- The newly designed SA-2 is a high-performance, fully balanced, fully discrete Class A headphone amplifier/preamplifier. The SA-2 is the successor to the original SA-1, featuring a chassis similar to its predecessor. The internal circuit layout has undergone significant redesign, substantially increasing output power by boosting the supply voltage and reducing output impedance.
- Upgrade specs: 1. Output power increased from SA-1's 5.5 watts into 32 ohms to 10 watts into 32 ohms, with a maximum of 15 watts into 20 ohms; supports headphones down to 8 ohms minimum impedance.
- 2. Circuit optimization maintains ultra-low distortion even at high power output.
- 3. Enhanced thermal management with a copper block + aluminum alloy heatsink design;
- 4. Reduced impedance at the balanced headphone output, boosting current drive capability for greater pushing power;
- 5. Optimized PCB routing, adjusted DC bias circuitry, added DC servo design, and incorporated a GND/LIFT mode switch.
