In ancient times, the Yerba Mate was strongly associated with religious rituals. The Maya revered this tree as a deity, while the Central American Indians of the pre-Columbian period used the Palo Santo in rituals with medicinal purposes. Please note: the fittings may have small scratches or dents and vary in shape - this is normal for all containers of this type. They are handmade in small South American workshops.
