The Poodles formed in 2005 and after 6 months they had their big breakthrough in their native country participating to the Eurovision Festival contest. Their debut album "Metal Will Stand Tall" climbed to the top of the Swedish charts and the first single, "Night of Passion", went gold after 3 weeks and platinum later, with 2 more singles that went top-10 in the Swedish charts. The band achieved a similar success in their home country with the second effort "Sweet Trade" and their third album "Clash of the Elements", with several platinum and gold singles and writing the Official Swedish Theme Song for the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, which went straight to n.1 in the charts After the recent release of their first live CD/DVD album, The Poodles present the new album "Performocracy" a word that stands as a combination of the words "Performance" and "Democracy", meaning "The power of Performance" or "Rule by Performance". Produced by Mats Valentin, this time Tobias Lindell (Europe, Mustasch) mixed the album.
