- THE BARS: we only use custom mill bars, certified to spec and quality tested; our aluminum/titanium alloy is heat-treated for 8 hours and tuned by ear; we never paint, tint, dip, anodize or plate the bars, as this adversely affects sound
- THE BASE: made with Tennessee hardwood sourced from local managed forests where cut selections are hand picked from kiln-dried stock; a hand rubbed oil finish brings out the natural grain for a high-end look (comes with wooden legs to prop up)
- NO PLASTIC TIES: the bars are hand tied to the base with TreeWorks' CordLoc, a select fiber composition braided for extraordinary strength; this sealed cord suspends the bar while not impeding resonance
- INCLUDES HARD POLY MALLET: comes with a hard poly mallet that delivers a clear, bright, and articulate sound that's perfect for filling the room with sparkling tone

Tree Works Chimes 5-Tone Meditation Energy Chime. Made in Nashville, Tennessee, U. S. A. - With a simple strike of the mallet 5 wondrous tones are released. The swirling resonation never seems to end. It is a calming way to begin meditation. The perfect signal for a teacher to begin class. That extra something you add to the end of the song. An elegant notice that "dinner is served". There are many uses for this beautiful instrument. No musical training needed. Comes with hardwood mallet and removable legs that allow the instrument to be set in an upright playing position or set flat on a table. In the summer of 1996, Tree Works Chimes was created by Mitch McMichen. It began in his garage in Nashville, Tennessee. The first set of chimes was made with a hacksaw and a hand drill. It didn't look like much, but that was the first step to crafting the perfect set of chimes. When asked about the early days of Tree Works, Mitch replies, "I wasn't trying to start a company. I was trying to find a sound. " Since then Tree Works Chimes has grown to become the most respected chimes in the percussion world - used by top studio and touring drummers and percussionist as well as the top 24 drum corps. These instruments are still handmade in Nashville, Tennessee and are unmatched in craftsmanship and sound quality. (It is of note that Mitch McMichen has earned Gold and Platinum records for his recording work in Nashville. )
