Zero quality lost to the extension! It gives out the same brightness at a fraction of the cost. Underpriced good quality product. Lights up your garage just fine. Easy to use - get 3 times the light. It is not a complex device. Easy installation (just screw it in like a light bulb). For safety reasons, use LED/CFL lights, since they use lot less electricity and won't stress the wiring.
