A toggle switch is a type of electrical device that is actuated by moving a lever back and forth to open or close an electrical circuit. A MAINTAINED toggle switch changes its position when actuated OR MOVED and will remain in the position until actuated OR MOVED again. Stays/ Maintains / Latch / Locks in position placed. This particular switch has a bat style joystick handle. Mounting Hole size is 12 MM or 1/2 in just pop it in. Two vital components that confirm what sorts of connections a switch makes are pole and throw. These are classified based on the connections they make. The terms pole and throw are also used to describe switch contact variations. The number of poles is the number of separate circuits which are controlled by a switch.
