In an attempt to improve the performance and effectiveness of the Bf 110, the G-4 variant was developed.The Me-110G-4 differed from previous variants of the Bf 110 mainly by the following characteristics: Improved armament: It was equipped with heavier guns and machine guns in order to improve its fire capability.Armament: It had greater ballistic protection. the to increase their their they they survival during attack missions.Ground attack role: The Me-110G-4 was primarily employed as a ground attack and anti-ship aircraft rather than as a fighter.However, despite efforts to improve the performance of the Bf 110, the Me-110G-4 fails to fully compensate for its limitations and the increasing superiority of the Bf 110. AlAlAlIts speed and maneuverability were still lower than enemy fighters, and sub heavy losses during air confrontations.During the course of the war, the Bf 110 and its variants were gradually replaced by more modern and advanced aircraft. Although it had played a significant role in the early stages of the conflict, the Me-110G-4 was soon overtaken by adversary technology and tactics, and its use as the main fighter was reduced.
