The AD9833 is a low-power, programmable waveform generator capable of producing sine, triangle, and square wave outputs. It is required in various types of waveform detection, implementation, and time-domain reflectometry (TDR) applications. Both the output frequency and phase are programmable software-adjustable. No external components are necessary. The frequency register is 28 bits wide; a clock frequency of 25MHz achieves a resolution of 0.1Hz; the AD9833's clock frequency is 1MHz and can be tuned to a resolution of 0.004Hz.
